Bistro Lights

Find bistro lights for patios, pergolas and outdoor dining areas, with Brilliance string-light kits, custom-length reels, S14 LED bulbs and connection accessories. Start with the power system, then choose the length, lamps and installation hardware together.

Choose your bistro lighting system

System Best starting point What to plan separately
12V string kits 26 ft, 50 ft, 98 ft or 150 ft; hanging kit included 12V lamps, connectors and suitable transformer
12V custom reel 328-foot cut-to-length reel Lamps, connectors, power supply and suspension hardware; divide into permitted runs
120V plug-in kit 48-foot kit with 24 lamps Suitable outdoor power and mounting arrangement; do not cut the cord

Pick the right S14 bulbs

Browse S14 LED bulbs from Brilliance and EmeryAllen. Match voltage first: 12V and 120V lamps are not interchangeable. Then compare brightness, color temperature and dimming requirements. A warm 2200K option gives a more amber appearance than 2700K or 3000K; choose by the lamp's actual specifications.

Build a custom low-voltage layout

Add straight connectors at landscape-to-string cable transitions, T connectors for center feeds, and end caps at string ends. Calculate quantities from the layout. These accessories belong to the Brilliance low-voltage system.

Check the run before you buy

Brilliance's specified 12V lamp configurations allow up to 150 feet with 1W lamps, 100 feet with 2W lamps or 60 feet with 3.5W lamps, subject to lamp-count and load limits. Spool length is not maximum electrical run length. The 120V kit has a separate limit of four connected kits.

Plan pool and spa areas separately with a qualified electrician. A weather-resistant string or low-voltage label does not establish permission to hang lights over water.
