Choose the right wire connector
Outdoor and landscape lighting connections
For landscape lighting wire connectors, match the product to the voltage, conductor sizes and location of the splice. Waterproof connectors and sealed splice components offer different installation methods, including twist-on, crimp and mechanical connections. Confirm the exact model's direct-burial rating and whether all required sealing components are included.
Standard wire nuts and copper crimps
Christy's wire nuts and standalone copper crimps provide additional connection options. An unfilled wire nut or bare crimp is not automatically waterproof. Choose each product using its listed conductor combinations and application instructions; color and pack quantity alone do not establish compatibility.
Aluminum-to-copper connections
AlumiConn connectors use separate set-screw ports for approved conductor combinations. Compare 2-port and 3-port models in the dedicated AlumiConn collection. These connectors serve a different application from waterproof landscape splices.
