How to Choose Kichler Landscape Lighting for Your Yard

Choose the light source
A replaceable-lamp fixture lets you select a compatible lamp separately. An integrated LED model has its light source built into the design. Some Kichler VLO models offer field-adjustable output, but that feature should not be assumed across every Kichler fixture.
Keep model options separate
Finish, color temperature, beam, and light output can distinguish products that look nearly identical. Record the full SKU for each position. Check what is included, especially lamps and mounting accessories, before comparing totals.
Coordinate the power and controls
Use the selected models' load data and transformer instructions. A brand match alone does not establish compatibility. Verify the power supply, timer arrangement, and any dimmer against the exact components.
Plan the installation around the view
Evaluate glare from the sidewalk and from seating areas. Keep the source hidden where possible and illuminate the feature rather than the viewer. For recessed fixtures, check drainage and load ratings before putting them near a driveway.
Keep the fixture schedule and warranty information with your project records. When asking for a recommendation, include the distances, photographs, and the desired nighttime effect.
