Gardner Bender LTB-400 Black Liquid Electrical Tape, 4 oz

Gardner Bender LTB-400 black liquid electrical tape is a brush-on alternative to wrap-around electrical tape. The flexible rubber coating creates a waterproof, UV-resistant insulating seal, with a brush built into the cap for controlled application.

Repair nicked low-voltage wire insulation

A useful choice for small nicks in low-voltage wire insulation when the copper conductor remains intact, liquid tape coats irregular areas that can be awkward to wrap. It takes the place of conventional electrical tape for suitable insulation and sealing applications. It does not repair cut, nicked or broken copper strands or replace a required wire connector. For buried cable repairs, use a repair method specifically rated for direct burial.

Preparation and application

Disconnect power and clean and dry the surface. Use adequate ventilation. Gardner Bender’s technical sheet recommends overlapping coats, at least two coats for dielectric protection, and 24 hours for full cure. Follow the jar label for application and drying instructions.
