The 19.5-inch post has built-in stabilizers to help hold it in the soil and an angle-cut lower end that allows access to underground wiring. Its nonmetallic reducing bushing accommodates a compatible 1/2-inch NPT fixture; the post's 3/4-inch NPT opening provides the other mounting option. Choose it for a fixture-support installation rather than an outlet post.

Compatibility & Installation Notes

Use a three-wire outdoor fixture with the specified NPT mounting connection. The GPLN19BR has a nonmetallic bushing and is a different selection from the GPL19BR model with a metal grounding bushing. Do not substitute a two-wire fixture or copy the grounding arrangement from another Gard-N-Post model.

Plan the fixture position, soil support, underground wiring route and access-panel clearance before installation. Keep the panel accessible for service, and use the stabilizer openings for additional support when the installation requires it. A qualified installer should complete the outdoor electrical connections and grounding with the power off, following the fixture instructions and applicable requirements.
