Paige Electric 12/2 white lighting wire gives you 500 feet of two-conductor copper cable for a low-voltage lighting layout. The white outer jacket is purely an aesthetic choice. Construction, electrical specifications and installation ratings match the equivalent black Paige cable of the same gauge. SKU: LWIREWHITE12/500.
The 500-foot length can supply several separately planned lighting runs. Reel length is the amount supplied, not a recommended single-run distance.
Select 12 AWG cable using the run length, fixture load and allowable voltage drop. Gauge alone does not establish the number of fixtures a run can support.
Plan each run from the transformer to the fixtures, accounting for branches and the total connected load.
Choose waterproof wire connectors that accept 12 AWG and the actual number of conductors in each splice. Connections exposed to soil or moisture need connectors rated for that use. Browse landscape lighting transformers and compare other gauges in landscape lighting wire.
