Choose the right transformer capacity

Choose the 100W model when the connected lighting load fits within its capacity. Add the fixture loads before selecting the transformer, and check cable sizing and voltage at the fixtures. Kichler's installation sheet advises a total lamp load generally at least one-third of the transformer rating and no higher than its maximum capacity.

Plan the in-ground installation

The transformer includes four conduit plugs and a sealing-gel pack. Kichler's instructions call for a qualified electrician and place the top edge of the housing at or slightly above finished grade. For installation in concrete, the compatible 15608AZ pour kit is sold separately.

Use the instruction sheet supplied with the transformer for circuit connections and installation requirements. Plan access to the enclosure before finalizing the landscape layout.

Manufacturer warranty

Kichler lists a 10-year warranty for the 15IGT100 and 15IGT300 In-Ground Series, subject to its warranty terms.
