Brilliance LOW-VOLT-BISTRO-REEL 328 ft 12V String Lights

Build custom-length outdoor patio string lights with the Brilliance LOW-VOLT-BISTRO-REEL. The 328-foot (100-meter) spool supplies 14 AWG bistro string cable with lamp positions spaced 24 inches apart. Cut planned sections and assemble them with Brilliance's matching low-voltage connectors.

The 328-foot spool is material for multiple runs—not a permitted 328-foot continuous electrical run. Lamps, connectors, transformer, mounting cable and turnbuckles are sold separately.

Match bulb wattage to run length

Brilliance lists these limits for its specified 12V S14 lamp configurations. Observe both the lamp-count and end-to-end length limits; include every connected section.

A larger transformer does not override these limits. Size the transformer and each feed for actual lamp VA, other connected loads and voltage drop. Different lamp models require their own verified load data.

Choose matching 12V lamps: Brilliance 1W, 2700K, Brilliance 2W, 2700K, Brilliance 2W, 3000K or Brilliance 3.5W, 2700K. Compare additional S14 LED bulbs, including EmeryAllen options, by voltage, load and dimmer compatibility. Matching E26 threads alone does not establish compatibility.

Complete your low-voltage system

• Straight connector: one for each transition from landscape cable to bistro string cable.
• T connector: one for each center feed in the approved layout.
• End cap: one for each string end requiring termination.

Add a compatible 12V landscape lighting transformer sized for the verified VA load, feed layout and other lights on the system. The string is dimmable with the Brilliance Dimmer and most magnetic transformers; confirm the selected lamps and controls together.

Installation and documents

Disconnect power before assembly or lamp replacement. Use the intended mounting holes and suitable supports; do not pierce the cable. Brilliance specifies at least 10 feet of horizontal separation from the nearest water edge unless an Article 680 installation is permitted. Have pool or spa layouts checked against the product listing and locally adopted electrical code.

Common questions

Can the full 328-foot reel be one powered run?

No. The spool provides material for planned runs. The permitted connected length depends on the selected lamps: 150 feet with the specified 1W lamps, 100 feet with 2W lamps or 60 feet with 3.5W lamps.

What do I need besides the reel?

Compatible 12V S14 lamps, a suitable transformer, the connectors and end caps required by your feed plan, plus mounting cable and turnbuckles. These items are sold separately.

Can I use household-voltage S14 bulbs?

No. This system requires compatible low-voltage lamps. A matching screw base does not confirm the correct voltage.
