Poldina Pro vs. Mini vs. Micro: A Size Comparison Guide

RSS

Poldina Pro, Mini and Micro solve different space problems. Mini lowers the familiar Poldina shade; Micro also narrows the lamp. Choose by both height and width, then check the charging routine that fits how long you plan to use it.

This guide compares the white LD0340B4, LD0320B4 and LD0490B3 examples. Other generations and finishes should be checked against their own specifications. Browse Poldina Pro lamps and Poldina Micro lamps alongside the model comparison.

Dimensions and operating-time comparison

Model Height Published width Approx. runtime / charge time
Pro LD0340B4 14.96 in / 38 cm 4.33 in / 11 cm 12 hr / 6–7 hr
Mini LD0320B4 11.81 in / 30 cm 4.33 in / 11 cm 12 hr / 6–7 hr
Micro LD0490B3 10.83 in / 27.5 cm 2.76 in / 7 cm 7–8 hr / 3–4 hr

The figures follow Zafferano's current US model information. Published width is not a substitute for checking the complete base and shade drawing. Runtime is approximate and changes with brightness, battery condition and use.

Choose Pro for the full-height shaded profile

At almost 15 inches high, Pro gives the lamp more visual presence on a dining or side table. Consider it when the lamp is intended to contribute to the room's design as well as illuminate the surface. Test the shade position from the normal seated viewpoint, especially when placing it between people.

A taller lamp is not automatically a better choice for a larger table. Check the actual pattern at the intended brightness. Table length, surface color and the position of serving dishes can leave areas that need another light source.

Choose Mini when height is the main constraint

Mini is about 3.15 inches shorter than Pro, while the listed width stays the same. That makes it a useful comparison when you like the standard Poldina shape but want the shade lower in the scene. It does not provide the same width reduction as Micro.

Before choosing Mini for a crowded table, mark out the available area with the place settings in position. If width is the problem, lowering the shade alone may not solve it. If sightlines are the concern, inspect a side view from a chair rather than relying only on a product photo.

Choose Micro when width matters most

Micro is only about an inch shorter than Mini, but its listed width is substantially narrower. This distinction matters on small café tables, narrow side tables and arrangements with limited clear space. Balance that space saving with the shorter published runtime and the light needed for the task.

Keep Micro accessories separate in your shopping list. A shade or charging platform described for Pro and Mini should not be assumed to fit Micro. Match the exact lamp and accessory model numbers.

Compare a real table setting before buying a group

  1. Measure the clear tabletop area after placing plates, glasses and serving pieces.
  2. Mark the candidate lamp's width and use a vertical marker to judge shade height.
  3. Check the view from every seat, including children's seating if relevant.
  4. Test a sample after dark at the planned brightness and color setting.
  5. Record the chosen model and finish before ordering additional lamps.

Charging and outdoor use need separate checks

The current white examples offer touch dimming and three warm-white settings. Charging equipment and included wall adapters should be checked on the individual listing. Do not assume a shorter charging time means the lamps share chargers or battery packs.

For outdoor tables, confirm both the model rating and finish restrictions. Decorative metallic finishes can have indoor limitations even where a family also contains outdoor-use models. Plan a dry indoor place to recharge the lamps and store the instructions with their model information.

Common questions

Does Mini have a smaller width than Pro?

The examples here both list a 4.33-inch width. Mini primarily changes height. Micro is the narrower option.

Should I choose Micro for every small table?

Only after checking the desired light and operating time. A narrow lamp can fit well yet still be the wrong choice for a long evening of use or the intended task.
