Line-voltage landscape and exterior lighting
120V landscape lighting uses an appropriate line-voltage supply rather than a 12V landscape transformer. Confirm the input rating on the selected fixture: products rated for a wider range that includes 120V must still be installed according to their instructions. Have hardwired installation completed by a qualified electrician, using the required connections and mounting hardware.
Integrated LED or replaceable-lamp floodlights
Integrated LED floodlights use a dedicated light engine. Replaceable-lamp models require the specified bulb size, base and wattage; check whether a lamp is included. The selection includes Satco Nuvo landscape floodlights with different PAR lamp formats. Match the lamp to the exact fixture instead of assuming PAR20, PAR30 and PAR38 models are interchangeable.
Match output and mounting to the application
Compare lumens, beam distribution, mounting height and aiming range for the area being illuminated. For signs and facades, consider purpose-built signage models such as the WAC Endurance options in this selection. Choose a suitable outdoor location rating and verify which brackets, arms or other mounting components are included.
Check color temperature and control compatibility
Choose the available light color to suit the space and nearby lighting. Fixed and selectable options vary by model. Photocells, motion sensors, timers and dimmers are not universal or included with every fixture; check the manufacturer's compatibility information before adding controls. Aim illumination toward the target to limit glare and spill into neighboring spaces.
