The Kichler 16099BK VLO in-ground concrete kit in Black reserves a mounting space for a compatible VLO in-ground LED light during a concrete installation. The black plastic kit includes a disposable lid to keep wet concrete out of the fixture opening while the surrounding surface is poured.

Selection and installation planning

Plan the finished grade, drainage and cable route before the pour. Kichler’s instructions call for the covered kit to sit flush with the finished grade and for the cover to remain in place until the fixture is ready to be installed.
