Brilliance EcoStar Lamps: Check Before You Replace
When replacing a Brilliance EcoStar lamp, begin with the exact model printed on the existing lamp or packaging. A family name alone is not enough to select a compatible replacement or establish warranty coverage.
Record the replacement requirements
- Lamp shape and base.
- Input voltage and AC or DC requirement.
- Dimensions and clearance inside the fixture.
- Color temperature and beam pattern.
- Power consumption and light output.
- Control and installation restrictions.
Compare a replacement by function
If the original item is unavailable, choose a replacement that meets the fixture's requirements and produces the desired nighttime result. The same wattage in a different lamp family may not provide the same output or beam. Test a sample next to the existing lamps before replacing a large group.
Verify warranty by product
Use Brilliance's warranty information for the specific lamp and purchase. Keep the receipt and full SKU. Do not assume every EcoStar or other Brilliance lamp shares one warranty term, adjustment feature, or rated life.
Check the fixture too
A new lamp will not fix damaged connections, a compromised seal, or an incompatible dimmer. Inspect the housing and supply arrangement when diagnosing an early failure. Follow the fixture instructions for opening and resealing it.
For help matching an older lamp, send clear photographs of its label and the fixture. That makes it possible to identify missing specifications before you order.
